My work stems from a visceral need to create with my hands using natural materials and a love of the sculptural vessel form.

Being one of the oldest objects ever made and one of the most commonly found in archeological sites the world over, the vessel for me is an embodiment of the timelessness, endurance and the universality of the human experience.

I am interested in what this form represents metaphysically and use it as a canvas and a frame in which I explore modern and minimalist expressions.  I keep the exteriors of my forms simple to bring out the complex textures and colors in the interiors so that together they can radiate a calm yet dynamic and positive energy.

I was born and raised in Istanbul, although I left my hometown after finishing high-school and since then have been fortunate enough to live and work in Boston, Bali, London, Geneva among other places. I am currently based in Amsterdam.

My works are represented in public and private collections internationally and are available from my studio as well as through select galleries and art fairs. If you’d like to acquire or commission works, arrange a studio visit or sign up for my newsletters, please send me an email or call me.
